Sam is the true hero of the Lord of the Rings franchise and also the hero of Thanksgiving at The Shire (I'm sure of it!).  Here is a deck that is placed 100% in the Lord of the Rings franchise to really set the mood.

Grusilda, Monster Masher makes for the perfect Halloween commander.  Let's break tradition and talk about a silver bordered commander card that is all about making a graveyard smash.  

This deck is my Mona Lisa.  Few cards in MTG are as beautiful as 7th edition foils.  I was inspired by the collectability of these cards and decided to build an entire old frame foiled out merfolk deck.  This is the perfect combination of beautiful things.  Come take a look!

There is no one right way to build a commander deck, let alone an all retro commander deck, and I think the art from Recycle from Tempest by Phil Foglio captures that.  What one may find to be great, another may hate.  With that said, I would love to take some time to discuss how I go about brewing a commander deck using some of the best retro cards in commander.
